Dr. Michael T. Jones has been practicing dentistry for decades. He is a homegrown North Carolina dentist who has been through extensive training, in order, to give you the best smile possible. His education includes extensive training and hours in continuing education in sedation, implantology, orthodontia, prosthetics, cosmetic dentistry, and sedation dentistry. Dr. Michael T Jones has made it his mission to create smiles that last forever. Dr. Michael T Jones takes yearly courses to stay up to date and educated in the areas that matter to his patients. He is always willing to go the extra mile to give you the best smile.



Dr. Michael T Jones likes to play golf, fish, and listen to jazz when he is not creating smiles. He is a family man with a successful wife and accomplished children. Likes to have fun and kid around with patients and staff.

Dr. Desi Matthews is the eldest of his siblings. Growing up he always had a love for learning new things and sports. His passion for these two things brough him to Chapel Hill to continue his education. He graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his undergrad days, he knew he wanted to pursue a career in healthcare but was not quite sure the exact route he wanted to take. 

After graduation he spent a couple years conducting research at UNC along with some soul searching which eventually led him to pursue the field of dentistry. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UNC School of Dentistry.  During his pre-clinical years, he spent his time learning his craft whilst at the same time dedicating countless hours of his free time giving back to those in need in his local community.  He served on various boards where he assisted in running free dental clinics for those in need. His love for giving back even took him as far as Nicaragua where he has volunteered with Operation Smiles, helping children with cleft lip/palate disorders obtain dental care.

Following his time in Chapel Hill. Dr. Matthews’s quest for knowledge and the perfecting of his skillset was still not complete in his eyes.  After graduating dental school. He then took his talents to New York where he completed a 3-year Specialty training in Prosthodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. During his residency he focused his time and efforts on helping patients in need of full mouth reconstruction whether that be for a functional need or purely cosmetics. His skillset spans from complete dentures to crown/bridge work to implants and full mouth make over cases.

When he is not transforming smiles, Dr. Matthews spends his time hanging with his family and friends, cooking, and playing/watching sports.

Dr. Matthews has recently returned from his tenure in New York, and we are excited in welcoming here to the practice and we look forward to him bringing his expertise to the Raleigh community.
